Interviews: Words Put to Names

Though I originally intended to present only faces without context, forcing my audience to make (and hopefully recognize) their own assuptions without any textual help, the interviews I collected from each of my subjects proved too meaningful to leave out. My remediation as a whole attempts to move the uniquness vs sameness narrative beyond myself, and I found I could not successfully accomplish this without including the words of other people.

The interviews are presented here, in their entirety. In order to display a wider variety of viewpoints, I gathered interviews from people with other names, not just Emilys and Hannahs. Each participant is of average college age (born between 1994 and 1997), and bares a name that was within the top 6 most popular names for their assigned gender in their year and state of birth.
