SYNOPSIS
Kickball explores the interpersonal dynamic between and shifting mindsets of Riley and Jonah, two first-year students who have taken very different roads to end up at the same Midwestern public university. Faced with budding external pressures from both their new environment and each other, Riley and Jonah reconsider their shared past and their shifting present, finding similarities between themselves and reexamining their own ideas about allyship and empathy in one another’s image.
